You know those mornings where you want to ease into the day but also be intentional about learning? As a homeschool mama of four girls, I’ve found that starting our day with a morning menu brings such a gentle rhythm to our mornings. I’m excited to be starting our morning menu routine in October with the fall-themed October Morning Menu, and I know it’s going to be a great way to gather my girls together and kick off the day with purpose.
What’s a Homeschool Morning Menu? ✨It’s a simple, reusable set of activities designed to help your child ease into the day with hands-on learning. You just slip the pages into a plastic menu cover (the kind you see at restaurants), and your child can use dry-erase markers to trace, practice writing, and review key concepts. 🍂📚 It’s such a blessing in our mornings, allowing my girls to start their day practicing essential skills while we talk through the activities together.
Why I Love Morning Menus For me, morning menus are more than just a tool for learning — they’re an opportunity to gather as a family. We sit down at the table, and while my girls work on their menus, we can chat about what’s ahead for the day, recite a Bible verse, or even read some poetry. I love that this time gives us the chance to slow down before diving into the busier parts of our homeschool routine.
The October Morning Menu is most geared for kindergarten through 2nd grade, but there is something for everyone. Even my toddler will loves participating! For my older daughters, they still enjoy filling out the calendar, practicing their writing, and working through the Bible verse for the week.
As a mom, I know how much we want to pour into our children — teaching them about God, helping them build strong foundational skills, and making sure we’re creating those meaningful family moments. Morning menus help us do all that, without feeling overwhelmed by what’s on our plate.
