Our Homeschool Style: Eclectic and Embracing What Works
As you may have guessed from our quiz results, we are eclectic homeschoolers! While we lean toward a mix of different methods, we love borrowing the best parts from each approach. The Charlotte Mason style resonates with us, especially in terms of the importance of character-building, reading quality literature, and spending time in nature. We also love the hands-on, project-based learning of unit studies and the flexibility that unschooling provides when our children’s interests take the lead. We find that blending these styles keeps homeschooling exciting and meaningful for our kids, and allows us to be adaptable depending on their needs and the seasons of life.
At the end of the day, there’s no "perfect" homeschool method — it’s all about what works for your family. So don’t be afraid to experiment, adjust, and learn as you go. The best part of homeschooling is that it’s a journey, and every family’s path is unique.
